We got so carried away with the music that we didn't manage to get as many photos, but this selection shows we didn't rest on our laurels.
2024 October Odyssey, Wisbech St Mary

From Opera to Oblivion - the flute choir enjoyed a warm welcome back to the parish church of Wisbech St Mary.
2024 Thorney WI Annual Afternoon Tea

For our fourth afternoon tea concert of the year, we found ourselves serenading Thorney WI. The tables looked amazing - I'm sorry I didn't catch a snap for you but I did get one of us in action. Read more about the afternoon on our Past Performances page.
2024 Toot au jardin, Glapthorn

Another first for us this year was playing at a fundraiser for Glapthorn church, when we helped to raise over £700.
2024 Marafiki cream tea fundraiser

We were proud to support the Marafiki Trust's annual fundraising cream tea for a third year running. Despite the grey skies, it saw fantastic attendance and raised over £685.
2024 Flute Fancies, St Rumbald's, Stoke Doyle

We were delighted to be invited to put on a concert at St Rumbald's Church, Stoke Doyle. This beautiful and historic church has a dreamy acoustic and we very much enjoyed our first event here.

2024 Oundle Vintage Festival

On Saturday 18th May we donned our gladrags, dolled up with our victory rolls and graced the stage at the Victoria Hall with a variety of vintage pieces.
2024 Birmingham Flute Choir Festival

On 2nd March 2024, ten of us (plus an honorary member!) participated in the first Flute Choir Festival run by Birmingham Flute Choir. In addition a mass play session led by Mel Orriss, members attended morning and afternoon sessions that surrounded a lunchtime concert, before taking to the stage ourselves at the end of the day.

2023 Low Flute Day with Carla Rees

On Sunday 3 September, some of the group attended a low flutes day led by Carla Rees. It was a fantastic day for those new and experienced to playing the alto, bass and contrabass flutes.

PFC provided a musical backdrop to the second day of the society's summer show.

PFC spent an amazing day at Whaplode Primary School in the morning and Weston Primary school in the afternoon
2023 Concert with Take Note Community Choir

On 21/05/2023, straight after Peterborough Celebrates we dashed across the city to perform in a joint concert with Take Note Community Choir. This year we joined forces for three pieces: Cantique de Jean Racine, Sheep May Safely Graze and Celtic Blessing. The concert was themed around the elements, and we performed: On the meadow, On the banks of green willow, Windmills of your mind, The Hebrides overture, April Showers.
2023 Peterborough Celebrates

On 21/05/2023 we were delighted to return and perform at Peterborough Celebrates; this time we were in the big top
2023 Flute workshop with Fenland Music Centre

On Saturday 18 March, we ran a day for flautists of all ages and abilities at St Peter's Church, March. We started with some warm ups and then all participants had a chance to have a go at all the different sized flutes: piccolo, alto and bass flutes. We then rehearsed in the afternoon and ended the workshop with an informal concert.
